Conversations and non-secret configuration live with the app, provider and MCP credentials live in Keychain, and requests go to the endpoint you selected. Your setup can also leave with you through versioned backups.

Secrets stay out of exports. Full backups preserve conversations, attachments, tool rounds, and configuration without provider API keys or MCP credentials.
Restore on your terms. Import can merge with existing data or replace the portable workspace after validation.
Diagnostics stay local. Bounded telemetry excludes prompts, responses, credentials, and tool payloads by default.
